Where Verigrate Health Provides Telepsychiatry

Dr. Monsalve maintains active medical licensure in the following 26 states and Washington, D.C. Services are subject to clinical appropriateness, applicable requirements, practice availability, and the patient’s physical location at the time of care.

Geographic and Clinical Information

Telepsychiatry availability depends on the patient’s physical location at the time of care, clinical appropriateness, applicable law, prescribing requirements, and practice availability. Licensure does not guarantee that a particular service or treatment will be appropriate for every patient.

Multistate Licensure

Continuity should not end at a state line.

For patients whose work, family responsibilities, or personal circumstances take them across state lines, multistate medical licensure may help preserve an established therapeutic relationship and reduce unnecessary fragmentation of psychiatric care.

Founding Philosophy

The end of medicine is health.

Verigrate Health was founded by Christian S. Monsalve, M.D., with a commitment to Hippocratic medicine and the belief that health is essential to authentic human flourishing. Care should therefore be guided by prudence, continuity, respect for the individual, and thoughtful attention to the patient’s long-term health.

Care should help the person pursue health—not make the person subordinate to a diagnosis, prescription, or treatment system.

Clinical Structure

Care structured around the individual.

The clinical approach is determined by each patient’s needs, goals, preferences, current treatment relationships, and what is safest and most appropriate.

Depending on the clinical situation, Dr. Monsalve may assume comprehensive psychiatric care, including oversight of psychiatric prescriptions and a psychiatric medication taper. In other cases, the focus may be limited to tapering and deprescribing while the patient continues working with an existing psychiatrist, primary care physician, or other treating clinician.

When appropriate, Dr. Monsalve collaborates with the patient’s other physicians to support a coordinated and cohesive plan.

A Distinct Form of Consultation

International second-opinion consultations are distinct from ongoing U.S.-based telepsychiatry care. They do not include emergency services or prescribing unless a lawful treatment relationship can be established under all applicable requirements. They are consultative and are not a substitute for emergency care or for treatment from a clinician authorized to practice where the individual is located.
